Meet Our Team

Evolve Podiatry, owned and operated by Principal Podiatrist Hannah Wellick, who hails from Ireland and moved to Bendigo in 2010 after studying at Glasgow Caledonian University. She developed a strong reputation for extensive knowledge in lower limb healthcare through her experience in various private healthcare settings. Wellick, who became an Australian citizen in 2017, is on a mission to provide top-quality podiatry care near Long Gully to prevent debilitating conditions. She specializes in managing foot & lower limb pain and is particularly fond of minimally invasive techniques for treating ingrown nails. Her patients value her professionalism, listening skills, and care. Beyond work, she devotes time to her daughters Madeline and Lily, keeping fit at the gym, and acknowledges the crucial support of her partner, Hayden, for the existence of Evolve Podiatry Bendigo.

You will notice when you arrive at Evolve Podiatry Bendigo, we share our space with the well-established Global Podiatry. They have warmly welcomed us to into their space to continue providing excellence in Podiatry services to the Bendigo community. Established in 2015 by Rose Gallagher, she has grown a caring and inclusive practice, to the busy hive of activity it is today. Joanna Davis joined the Global Podiatry team in 2019 and bought with her a wealth of knowledge and care to further services within the team. Global Podiatry also service Heathcote Health and Emu Creek Health Professionals.

Absolutely. You can park at the rear of the clinic by accessing it through the roller door (entrance from Nolan Street). There are also convenient free street parking spots on Lucan Street and Nolan Street. For those with disabilities, there is covered parking available at the front of the property (access from Lucan Street, heading towards Bendigo CBD).

We suggest wearing comfortable clothing, preferably shorts or fitted leggings, to allow for a comprehensive assessment of your function and an accurate diagnosis. Please ensure that we can access the skin and muscles up to your knee if needed. Don’t forget to bring your running shoes and the shoes you wear most frequently, including work or school shoes, for assessment.

No, you do not need a referral to see any of our friendly Long Gully Podiatrists.

However, there are several referrals we do accept please see the list below and how payment is organised.

Medicare – your doctor may provide you with a Chronic Disease Management Plan or EPC. We bulk bill* these referrals.

*note – any additional appointment costs or take-home treatments will be charged at an affordable rate to the patient.

Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) – we accept all DVA (white* and gold card) referrals. Please request a D904 referral from you Doctor to access our services.

*note – white card holders are only accepted for certain medical conditions and prior approval for services is required.

Home Care Package – we accept home care packages and will forward all invoice on to your care package coordinator or accounts team.

NDIS – we can accept self-managed and plan-managed clients, we will bill your third-party provider directly for you. We are not a registered NDIS provider and therefore are unable to accept NDIA managed clients.

TAC – we accept TAC patients.

Work Cover – we accept Work cover patients.

Yes, if you have extras cover through your PHI. For your convenience, we have HICAPS facilities in the clinic and will bill your provider directly for an instant rebate.}

Not all health funds are created equal, please contact your health fund directly to find out how you are covered for podiatry services. Please note we can provide quotes for orthoses and surgeries so you know how much you will be out of pocket beforehand.

Yes, absolutely! Treating the underlying cause of the infection is essential. Our skilled podiatrist will provide gentle treatment, taking into consideration your infected toe. We have a deep understanding and proficiency in the minimally invasive management of painful ingrown toenails.

At Evolve Podiatry Bendigo, we have great confidence in our ability to assist almost everyone with their foot health complaints. However, if, for any reason, you do not observe any clinical improvements within the specified timeframe (which we will likely identify before you do), we will refer you to a Sport Specialist, Podiatric Surgeon, Orthopaedic Surgeon, or another specialist Health Care Professional whom we believe can offer the necessary help.
