Pre and Post-surgical Care

We can provide general care prior to having a surgical procedure done to ensure you don’t need to worry about trimming your nails for several weeks afterward. We can also provide post-operative general care, and rehabilitation options for lower limb procedures. Recommended time frames for general care are 1 week (minimum) prior to surgery and 4 weeks post-surgery.

We will always look to your shoes first as the potential cause of many foot complaints. If they are the culprit, or just aren’t quite right, we will fully assess your foot posture and recommend a shoe that will best suit your needs. We will always take into consideration budget and aesthetics; we have a vast range of shoes we recommend for every person.
Gentle techniques used in both conservative and surgical management of ingrown toenails. We offer excellence in non-surgical management, resolution and prevention of ingrown toenails using a broad range of techniques including – precision blade work, nail bracing, taping, and splinting.

Providing thorough assessment and management of all skin and nail pathologies, including thickened discoloured nails, fungal nails, corns and callus, a variety of skin conditions including tinea pedis (Athlete’s Foot), eczema and psoriasis. We want every person to feel like they are floating on air after our care. We have a vast library of therapies and tools for you to do at home treatments when required. We always adopt simple, user-friendly therapies and will provide you with all the information at your appointment.

Used to release myofascial (muscle and fascia) tension in the below-knee muscles. This is a quick and relatively painless therapy that we love to use as an adjunct to our sports injury management options.

Yes.Parking is available at the rear of the clinic, through the roller door (access from Nolan Street).There is also conveniently located free street parking on Lucan Street and Nolan Street.Disabled under-cover car parking at the front of the property (access from Lucan Street, heading towards Bendigo CBD).
We recommend wearing something you are comfortable in, preferably shorts or fitted leggings so we can fully assess your function and form an accurate diagnosis. We may also need to access the skin and muscles up to you knee, so please ensure this is possible. You should bring your runners and most frequently worn shoes, including work or school shoes for assessment.

No, you do not need a referral to see any of our friendly Podiatrists.

However, there are several referrals we do accept please see the list below and how payment is organised.

Medicare – your doctor may provide you with a Chronic Disease Management Plan or EPC. We bulk bill* these referrals.

*note – any additional appointment costs or take-home treatments will be charged at an affordable rate to the patient.

Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) – we accept all DVA (white* and gold card) referrals. Please request a D904 referral from you Doctor to access our services.

*note – white card holders are only accepted for certain medical conditions and prior approval for services is required.

Home Care Package – we accept home care packages and will forward all invoice on to your care package coordinator or accounts team.

NDIS – we can accept self-managed and plan-managed clients, we will bill your third-party provider directly for you. We are not a registered NDIS provider and therefore are unable to accept NDIA managed clients.

TAC – we accept TAC patients.

Work Cover – we accept Work cover patients.

Yes, if you have extras cover through you PHI. For your convenience we have HICAPS facilities in the clinic and will bill your provider directly for an instant rebate.

Not all health funds are created equal, please contact your health fund directly to find out how you are covered for podiatry services. Please note we can provide quotes for orthoses and surgeries so you know how much you will be out of pocket beforehand.

Absolutely yes! It will be essential to help you manage the cause of the infection. You can be assured that our experienced podiatrist will be exceptionally gentle in providing any treatment. We are skilled in the minimally invasive management of painful ingrown toenails.
At Evolve Podiatry Bendigo we are very confident in our ability to help almost everyone with any of their foot health complaints. However, if for whatever reason you are not seeing any clinical improvements within your pre-determined timeline (we will likely know before you will), then we will refer you on to a Sport Specialist, Podiatric Surgeon, Orthopaedic Surgeon, or other specialist Health Care Professional that we believe will be able to help you.
